One such person is Neeru Kakkar, who is a Senior Nursing Officer at GMCH-32, Chandigarh. With her professional and family commitments, she has also been very successful in sports, representing herself as a Master’s Athlete.
Something starts after the old phase:
Neeru is performing actively in the 50-plus age category. She participates in 100-metre and 200-metre races, along with several other athletic events. During the last five years, she has been winning gold medals in these events continuously. Up till now, she has won more than 30 medals, which truly reflects her dedication and discipline towards athletics.
Talking about her regimen, Neeru stated that she keeps proper time for her home and family and does not forget her obligations at the hospital. Even though she has a very tight schedule, she still goes to the field for practice to keep up her condition. She has been taking part in the Masters Athletics Championships for more than a decade.
Neeru believes that linking herself with sports keeps her body in good shape and fills her whole day with energy and positive vibes.She further said that her staff members are the happiest people when she returns after winning medals at the Masters Championships. Witnessing her success, a good number of her coworkers have started to take time for exercise and their health.
Her staff members are always eager to get tips on running and fitness from her. Not only at her workplace, but women in her neighborhood also take guidance from her and she prompts them to lead a healthier lifestyle.
