16th Chandigarh Chess Academy Open & Children’s Prize Money Chess Festival 2025,Dishant Bansal and Ekaaksha Partap Singh Negi were the leading lights which concluded successfully at DLF City Centre Mall, Chandigarh. The venue added a lively, spectator friendly atmosphere to the intense battles on the board.Bansal took the open category crown with a very bright point total of 5.5, showing great consistency throughout the event.Ekaaksha dominated the Under 15 category finishing with 5.5 points.176 participants from various states of northern India participated in the tournament. This fact alone speaks volumes about the increasing popularity of competitive chess in the region.
