On Monday, authorities gave the Punjab’s First Gen Z-Themed Post Office Opens at PU, Chief Postmaster General (Punjab Circle) Vinod Kumar Verma along with the other dignitaries formally inaugurated the revamped facility. Besides the Chief Postmaster General, PU Vice-Chancellor Renu Vig, Director Postal Services (HQ, Punjab Circle) Padmagandha Mishra, and Senior Superintendent of Post Offices (Chandigarh Division) Kumar Sanjeev graced the occasion.
The change is in line with India Post’s move to revamp their local offices into modern, attractive places that would be more relatable to students and young users.
ThePunjab’s First Gen Z-Themed Post Office has a stylish interior that also boasts Wi, Fi, enabled zones, QR, based digital payment systems, and student artwork. Besides these, Speed Post services with a special student discount, parcel packaging support, a mini library, comfortable seating areas, and entertainment options such as television and games are also available now.
Officials emphasised that the new place would be the students’ go, to point for postal and leisure needs, where they can study, work, or chill.
