Chandigarh Youth Festival 2025 Concludes

When given the right opportunities, young people excel across fields. The Chandigarh Youth Festival 2025, organized by the Sports Department, concluded at Tagore Theatre, Sector 18.

Throughout the festival, young participants from the city displayed their skills in cultural, literary, and artistic disciplines. Joint Director of Sports, Chandigarh Administration, Dr. Mahender Singh inaugurated the event as the chief guest, accompanied by Deputy Director of Youth Welfare, Dr. Tejinder Singh Gill.

The festival featured six competitions: Group Folk Dance, Group Folk Singing, Painting, Declamation (Debate), Poetry Writing, and Story Writing.

In the Group Folk Dance category, MCM DAV College, Sector 36 secured the first position, followed by Government College of Arts, Sector 10 in second place, and Social Worker Chandigarh India, Hallo Majra in third. DAV College, Sector 10 won the top honor in Group Folk Song, while PGGC-11 claimed second place and PGGC-42 finished third.

The Painting competition saw Mehak Saini take first prize, Nikhil Kumar secure second, and Arshdeep Kaur win third. Vivek Sharma and Anurag Ramaula received consolation awards.

In Declamation, Karika Thakur emerged as the winner, Nakul Bisht stood second, and Shivani Singh finished third, with Piya earning a consolation prize.

Simranjeet Kaur secured first place in Poetry Writing, followed by Shivam in second and Harleen Kaur in third.

In Story Writing, Devika Khosla won the first prize, Shinayu took second, and Sanya finished third.

All winners will go on to represent Chandigarh at the National Youth Festival 2026 to be held in New Delhi.
