Chandigarh Golf Club Trains Young Talent in Week-Long Camp

From January 2 to 8, the Chandigarh Golf Club trained 30 junior golfers, including several from economically weaker sections (EWS). The club aimed to encourage young players to take up golf and identify promising talent at the grassroots level.

Focus on Skills and Sportsmanship

The coaches conducted daily sessions to develop technical skills while instilling discipline, proper golf etiquette, and sportsmanship. Saaniya Sharma, Tavleen Batra, and Mahesh Kumar led structured practice sessions, with Mahesh Kumar emphasizing skill development and ethical play.

Camp Concludes with Awards

The camp ended with a prize distribution ceremony on Thursday, where the club recognized participants’ efforts and performance through certificates and awards.

Officials Praise Young Golfers

Chandigarh Golf Club President Ravibir Singh and Junior Golf Promotions Chairman Rohit Singh Dagar praised the young golfers for their dedication and enthusiasm, highlighting the role of such initiatives in shaping future players.

Plans for Future Camps

Dr GS Kochhar, Media and Publicity Chairman, announced that the club will organize similar camps in the future to promote junior golf and encourage more children to participate
