One Woman, Many crowns – Meet the Woman Inspiring Chandigarh

chandigarh

From fitness to music to social leadership — meet the woman redefining what it means to be a woman entrepreneur in Chandigarh.

There are people who choose one lane and stay in it. And then there are people like Rajni Sharma — who seem to have quietly taken over every lane on the road.

Rajni Sharma is one of Chandigarh’s most inspiring women entrepreneurs — a certified yoga instructor, former college lecturer, musician, social activist, and women’s empowerment leader, all rolled into one remarkable person. Based in Sector 46-A, Chandigarh, her story is not just impressive — it’s proof that ambition has no limits.

From the Classroom to the Gym Floor

Rajni’s journey began in the world of music. A gold-standard academic at GNDU, Amritsar — Best Student of the College, five-year academic topper, and 5th rank at the university — she went on to teach music at the college level before her entrepreneurial calling took over.

She founded Akhada Gym & Fitness Club in Chandigarh, building it from the ground up into a thriving wellness center. Structured fitness programs, yoga, preventive health sessions, and women-focused wellness initiatives are at its heart. For Rajni, this wasn’t just a business — it was a mission to bring health, confidence, and discipline to her community.

A Leader in Every Room She Enters

What sets Rajni apart as a women entrepreneur in Chandigarh is that she doesn’t stop at business. As President of Swastik Shakha – Bharat Vikas Parishad, Ex-Vice President of BJP Mahila Morcha (Ward-22), and an active member of the Rotaract Club and Nivedita Trust, she has led health camps, donation drives, charity music shows, and large-scale community events — often as the only woman at the table.

She has been recognised with the Women Achiever Award for leadership and social contribution, and consistently appreciated by Rotary, NGOs, and social organisations for her work on the ground.

Why Her Story Matters

In a world that often asks women to choose — career or family, ambition or service — Rajni Sharma refuses the question entirely. She is the kind of woman entrepreneur Chandigarh needs more of: rooted in purpose, driven by impact, and inspiring a generation of women to dream bigger.

She isn’t just building a career. She is designing a legacy.
