Chandigarh, Oct 6 (UNI) : After fighting a serious liver disease for nearly 2 years, Rakesh, an employee of the Himachal Pradesh Police has received a new lease of life after a Successful liver transplant surgery at PGIMER, Chandigarh.
Doctors Successful Liver Transplant a deceased donor liver, giving Rakesh a second chance at life. He has now been discharged from hospital following a good recovery from the procedure.
Rakesh had been suffering from a liver-related illness for several years. His condition declined to the point where doctors advised that a liver transplant was the best option. His family held on and waited for a donor match.
The liver transplant team of PGIMER has successfully performed the transplant. Rakesh was closely monitored medically after the surgery and his condition improved steadily. Doctors said he was recovering satisfactorily.
